Pisces New Moon
On Divine Endings
With the new moon in Pisces this Monday morning / Sunday evening, it is asking us to close one door to walk through one just opened. It could be a new job offer, a new relationships, a new living location, or perhaps a more Piscean quality - a new feeling, cause, mission or faith in your own soul’s calling. With this transition, there can be a brief moment of mourning - for the person you were when you walked through the door you were closing, for the hopes and dreams you brought into it. Honor this moment and feel deeply into all that is there - and spin those new dreams into gold.
As I write this issue, I find myself in the tension of wanting to say something deeply personal about the spiritual journey I’ve been on with Soulful Wealth, contrasted with broader collective issues of faith, free will and destiny. Which is often the core struggle of any Pisces or 12th house individual - how can I flow easily with the collective but where do I find myself separate and apart from it? Pisces know everyone else better than themselves. My best friend once asked me (while in another country) “what happened” and “why are you so down,” five minutes after I had received bad news.
This is a time for instinct, emotion and that whispering of a soul urge to take precedent in guiding you. And above all, trust that whatever door has shown up to walk through, it is time.
NEW MOON PISCES
The Pisces New Moon happens at 11:06 PM PST. There’s a lot of energy at play here - but the overall theme is to firmly close one door (Pisces necessitates an ending) and glide through a newly opened one.
This moon is ruled by Neptune - which casts its spiritual, illusory and dreamy lens over some powerful (and perhaps combative) transformational movements. These are happening collectively - the earthquake across Syria & Turkey, the closure of JFK Terminal 1 and grounding of international flights, and the Ohio train wreck polluting sky & waterways are all symptomatic of this moment. Pluto at the final degree of Capricorn is showing just what is rotten in the powers that be, in the systems we have created, in the power structures we uphold. In order to imagine new, to give birth to new, we need individual impetus. This isn’t organizing as we are used, to in generations past; the flavor is more at a very individualistic, very selfish, very egoistic model.
The question is: what do you desire? What can you imagine for yourself? The faith and trust is that your small vision, your deep creativity, is something we are collectively in need of. That is hard - and sometimes the overall challenge of Pisces. How can I exist as me and also serve this vast collective I feel so deeply engaged with? Who’s feelings are my own, as they flow through me?
Faith & intuition are needed to navigate these turbulent times when things are changing. You choose the vibration that you want to hold to move forward in this time. You - and everyone else - are tasked with transformation. To not decide is to choose to stagnate. What is needed is a reevaluation and transformation of your urge for authority and control, based on a deeper understanding of yourself and a more conscious and socially responsible use of personal power.
Be open during this new moon to insight, intuition and dreams to help you choose your way. It can feel confusing and that you only have half the information. But like the Fool of tarot, take a step forward to see what happens. Trust you will be held.
NEW MOON RITUAL
Focus on your dreams. Pick a night over the next few days to let yourself receive. Give your question over to whatever higher power you believe in and ask to have a dream to inspire your direction. ensure you keep a notepad and pen near your bedside to record whatever image, sentiment or words that come to you. Ruminate on this until you feel into your direction forward.
